Hey guys! Today I'm starting a new series of posts called "Behind the Scenes". It won't be a regular, weekly series or anything, because the shoots I do are kind of all over the place at this point, but I wanted to showcase some of the "unofficial" photos that come out of some of the photo sessions that I am a part of. I am a huge, huge, HUGE fan of candid photographs, and while I like to keep my photography as natural as possible overall, sometimes my favorite shots are the ones that don't make it past the digital cutting room floor.
This first set of photos comes from an engagement session that my friend Sarah and I did this past weekend for Sarah's brother, Stafford, and his fiance, Julie. Sarah and I are going into business together to do engagement and wedding photography (more on that as it develops!), and we're lucky to have a bunch of great couples out here in LA who are willing to be our guinea pigs. Stafford didn't really have a choice, though. Sarah just used her older sister powers and roughed him up a little until he said uncle and agreed to let us take his picture.

My favorite part of these is Sarah in the background, snappin' away.
Also, it's Sarah's birthday today! Happy birthday, chica!
And happy Thursday to you, and you, and you.
