Hi all. I've been absent from this place for a bit, but I haven't abandoned it, I promise. I'll be back soon.
In the meantime, I've been learning some fun new photo editing tricks, the most recent of which is how to create a tilt-shift effect. The below are my first couple of attempts; hopefully they'll get better with experience. I'm already getting addicted.
Happy Thursday, friends.

I love these so, so much. I'm obsessed with the tilt-shift effect. So you did all this post-production (as opposed to with a schmancy lens)? I once achieved a sort of tilt-shift by happy accident by focusing on one area of the photo and blurring everything else out. But these look like you did something else to get that look. Either way, I love it. More, more, more. :)
ReplyDeleteYep, I did these all in Photoshop! It's actually not that hard, once you get it figured out...and you have to ignore your (my) perfectionist tendencies, or else you'll be working on one photo for hours.
DeleteSo cool! I always love how this looks.
ReplyDeleteMe too! I was so happy when I finally figured it out.
DeleteThese are beautiful! The second one is stunning. Looking forward to what else you'll be sharing with us! :)
ReplyDeleteThanks! I know, the second one looks like tiny little clay figures...it's crazy what a little blurring will do to trick the eyes.
DeleteTilt-shift is one of my favorite tools for editing pictures. Yours are lovely! :)
ReplyDeleteThanks! It's a fun tool...I can't wait to do more with it. =]
