New York, New York

I am quickly falling behind on all of the things I want to write about.

First things first: a quick post about NYC.

We were only there for a day, and I wanted to be there for a week. So many areas to explore! It was raining most of the time we were there, but we walked for blocks and blocks anyway. I couldn't stop craning my neck up to look at the endless towering wall of buildings, as far as the eye could see. They made me feel oddly safe, in a way...nice and enclosed on an island full of lights and cars and towers of metal and glass. If I stayed there too long, I think I'd get claustrophobic, but to take many trips and get my fill of CITY would be glorious.

Then I got to attend the prettiest wedding ever.

And the cherry on top: the people I got to spend time with. Oh, the people. To be with a group of people who have known each other for years can be a little intimidating, but these people never gave me a chance to feel that way. So much warmth and laughter.

I don't have the time to give this wedding and this weekend the appreciation they deserve. Dancing, drinking, joking, story-telling, walking, eating (and eating, and eating). Great weekend. Congrats again, Rosenthals!

Peace.
