Folks, wedding season is upon us.
Two weeks ago, I traveled back to Minnesota to attend the nuptials of my good friends Dave and Carly.
This past weekend, I went back again to be a bridesmaid in the wedding of my best childhood friend, Caitlin, and her wonderful fiance-now-husband, Chris. I shed a few tears (okay, many, thanks to all of the speeches at the reception), wore a beautiful dress, and got to ride around in a sweetass limo and be in pretty pictures. Not too shabby.
The groom's dinner and the wedding were both beautiful, elegant, and fashionable, as is everything that Caitlin touches.
Cait and I went to different colleges, worked different jobs, and now live in different states, but where we've lacked in physical proximity, we've made up for in emotional closeness. We are super chatters on Gmail, and we've kept each other appraised of the major goings-ons in our respective lives. It was wonderful to get to know some of her family and friends from her recent life better, especially on the dance floor at the reception.
Also, can we please just take a moment to talk about how gorgeous Caitlin was? That wedding dress is TO DIE FOR. I kept saying that she looked like a fashion model. Or a Pinterest bride. Which is a compliment, because we all know that people only pin the prettiest brides/dresses to their boards.
I had such a fantastic weekend. And now my little baby Caitlin is all grown up and married!!! I feel so old. And yet so proud.
Congratulations, Cait and Chris! I love you guys!
