One of the perks of living in West Hollywood is that I am so close to lots of exciting events; last fall, we did Halloween right by going to the WeHo Carnaval, and today, I was able to walk over a few blocks and check out the LA Pride Parade.

I wasn't able to stay very long, but since I live on the side of the parade route where the parade actually starts, there was lots to see in a very short distance. Large groups covered in rainbows or decked out in drag were milling around near their respective floats. Various techno beats were drifting from the many speakers attached to each float, and the air smelled of sunscreen. It was a happy, happy day, and I wish I could have seen more of it.

The most exciting part of my short trek was that I had a Hollywood Jesus sighting (I swear, that guy is EVERYWHERE), and shortly thereafter I came across the Grand Marshal float and saw Molly Ringwald!

This is my favorite picture of the day. No H8, you guys. Hollywood Jesus says so.

I'd like to say she was waving at me, but she was actually waving at a drag queen right next to me.
I love living in West Hollywood.

Happy Monday!
