Happy Friday! I hope everyone had a fantastic week getting back into the groove of Life After the Holidays. My week felt like it lasted forever. There were some incredibly stressful moments, but now it's over. Toby comes back from being in NYC (for far too long) on Saturday, and my friends Caitlin and Chris are in town for the weekend, so I'm in full tourist guide mode.

Some things I'm diggin' this week:

Eugene Tan takes pictures like this, and they make me so happy (you can see more of his work here):

Seth Godin on the fateful arrogance of tl;dr ("too long; didn't read"). Even while reading that very blog post, I had the urge to flit around the internet to look at a bunch of other stuff, and it wasn't even that long. This happens to me all the time; I'll have several tabs open at once and I'll go back and forth between two or three of them, reading a chunk of each at a time and then getting distracted by something else. This is why I enjoy books so much, because I am forced to stay in one place, reading one thing, for a longer period of time, and it doesn't even bother me, as long as I can slowly regain my breath and just BE there. I'm trying to be better about doing one thing at a time while on my computer, especially when there are longer articles I really want to read, but it's tough.

I'm just going to leave this right...here...no comment.

This video of a man who is BFF with full-grown lions and hyenas blew my mind. Surreal, adorable, and terrifying, all at the same time.

Turns out I only live about two blocks away from the Hollywood fault zone. Excellent.

Have a fabulous weekend, friends!
